Job Description

Overview

The financial analyst at Centre d'insémination artificielle du Québec will play a vital role in preparing sales reports and profitability analyses, as well as managing the annual budgeting process. Working closely with the finance and administration director, the analyst will be a part of a nine-member team focused on ensuring data integrity and accuracy in financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze sales reports and profitability assessments
  • Identify discrepancies and anomalies in data
  • Coordinate pricing and product changes, overseeing special projects
  • Participate in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
  • Analyze results by territory/zone, explaining budget variances
  • Collaborate on profitability tracking with business development director
  • Develop work procedures to optimize financial tracking processes
  • Assist in implementing special projects related to business intelligence

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • 2 to 3 years of experience as a financial analyst or in cost analysis
  • CPA certification
  • Experience in distribution or manufacturing company
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of ERP software
  • Experience with business intelligence tools like Power BI
  • Familiarity with AI tools like Copilot
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills
  • Autonomous with problem-solving abilities
  • Intellectual curiosity and adaptability to change
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
