Job Description

Overview

As the AMRAAM Software Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) at Raytheon, you will oversee all software-related activities for the program, ensuring successful execution and technical oversight. This role involves collaboration with Product Owners, Chief Engineers, and other Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to lead a team of software engineers in the development and integration of embedded systems critical to mission assurance and safety.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead a team of software engineers through software development, integration, and qualification.
  • Serve as Control Account Manager (CAM) with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) responsibilities.
  • Maintain labor budgets and report deviations to program leadership.
  • Prepare review materials for program milestone reviews.
  • Collaborate with program leadership on alignment of priorities and execution strategy.
  • Manage project tracking systems to ensure accountability for deliverables.
  • Implement process improvements to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Teach and mentor less experienced staff.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM
  • 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Technical leadership in embedded software development with Agile methodologies
  • Experience with Embedded C++ Software and RTOS like Wind River VxWorks or Linux
  • Knowledge of program management and Integrated Product Team leadership
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Active and transferable Secret U.S. government-issued security clearance
