Overview

As the Ambulatory Laboratory Supervisor at TriHealth Bethesda Medical Center, you will lead a diverse team in delivering high-quality outpatient diagnostic services across various disciplines. This role encompasses both hands-on clinical duties and strategic oversight, with an emphasis on continuous improvement and development of laboratory staff.

Key responsibilities

  • Organize and direct workflow for laboratory operations
  • Evaluate employee performance and ensure productivity
  • Manage staffing budget and maintain high-quality laboratory results
  • Foster high employee morale and build team cohesion
  • Provide timely communications to management and staff
  • Conduct hiring, disciplinary actions, and performance evaluations
  • Collaborate with technical specialists to maintain compliance with regulations

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree
  • MLS from American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP)
  • 3-4 years of experience in technical clinical laboratory management
  • Experience in laboratory compliance and quality control
  • Leadership and team development skills
  • Knowledge of outpatient services and diagnostic protocols
