Overview

As an Ambulatory Laboratory Supervisor at TriHealth Bethesda Medical Center, you will lead diverse laboratory teams to deliver high-quality outpatient diagnostic services. This role focuses on daily operations, quality and compliance, and mentoring the next generation of laboratory professionals, making a significant impact on patient care.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise laboratory and support teams to ensure high-quality diagnostic services.
  • Manage daily operations, staffing, and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and maintain quality control.
  • Develop staff through mentorship and identify career goals.
  • Implement new equipment and procedures to optimize workflows.
  • Provide timely communication regarding policies and procedural updates.
  • Oversee hiring, performance counseling, and terminations.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • Graduate of an approved Medical Laboratory Science program
  • Certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP)
  • 3-4 years of experience in technical clinical laboratory settings
  • Leadership and team management skills
  • Quality assurance and compliance knowledge
  • Ability to optimize workflows and drive continuous improvement
