Overview

Columbia Healthcare is seeking an Allergy/Immunology Nurse Practitioner to join their outpatient clinic in Jamaica, NY. The position requires experience in allergy practices and involves full-time hours from Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide allergy or immunology consultation
  • Prescribe medications including antihistamines and glucocorticosteroids
  • Order or perform diagnostic tests such as skin pricks and patch tests
  • Educate patients about diagnoses, prognoses, or treatments
  • Interpret diagnostic test results for differential diagnoses
  • Develop individualized treatment plans considering patient preferences
  • Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals
  • Assess risks and benefits of therapies for allergic conditions
  • Provide therapies like allergen immunotherapy
  • Perform allergen provocation tests
  • Diagnose or treat allergic or immunologic conditions
