Overview

Dobbs Tire And Auto Centers is seeking an Alignment Technician to join their team in Chesterfield, Missouri. The technician will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and correcting alignment and suspension issues to ensure proper vehicle handling and safety, utilizing specialized tools and equipment to maintain vehicle performance and deliver quality service.

Key responsibilities

  • Align wheels, axles, frames, and steering mechanisms using precision alignment equipment.
  • Perform necessary repair and adjustment work based on diagnostic findings.
  • Mount and dismount tires; balance wheels and install counterweights.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and perform general service work.
  • Straighten vehicle frames using hydraulic jacks and chassis aligners.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company safety standards.

Required skills

  • 1 year of experience as an Alignment Technician or equivalent vocational training.
  • Proficiency with automotive repair tools and equipment including wheel alignment racks and tire changers.
  • Strong understanding of automotive systems and diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and adapt to diverse team members.
