Overview

Securitas Technology is seeking an Alarm Monitoring Operator I for their Alarm Monitoring Center in Fort Shafter, Hawaii. This full-time position entails responding to alarm signals, managing alarm events, and ensuring proper communication with emergency services and customers, similar to the role of a 911 dispatcher.

Key responsibilities

  • Respond to incoming alarm signals using automation software according to procedures
  • Notify authorities and contacts when necessary
  • Log information into the automation system accurately
  • Answer multi-line telephone system calls
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED required, some college preferred
  • 1-3 years' work experience preferred
  • Typing speed of 30+ words per minute
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Demonstrated teamwork and continuous improvement attitude
