Overview

Securitas Technology is seeking an Alarm Monitoring Operator I to work in their 24/7 Alarm Monitoring Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. This role involves responding to alarm signals, managing alarm events, and notifying emergency services, similar to the duties of a 911 dispatcher. Operators will provide exceptional customer service while ensuring the confidentiality of information and adhering to safety protocols.

Key responsibilities

  • Respond to incoming alarm signals according to documented procedures
  • Manage alarm events and verify security information
  • Notify and update emergency services such as fire and police agencies
  • Log all information into the automation system immediately and accurately
  • Answer multi-line telephone system
  • Ensure confidentiality of customer information

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years of work experience preferred
  • Typing speed of 30+ words per minute
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Follow written and verbal instructions
  • Good interpersonal communication and organizational skills
  • Teamwork and continuous improvement mindset
