Overview

The Alarm Monitoring Operator I at Securitas Technology plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of clients by providing exceptional customer service in a 24/7 Alarm Monitoring Center. This position involves monitoring alarm signals, managing emergency notifications, and accurately documenting events, similar to the duties of a 911 dispatcher.

Key responsibilities

  • Respond to all incoming alarm signals according to documented procedures
  • Manage alarm events and verify security information
  • Notify and update emergency services like fire and police agencies
  • Answer a multi-line telephone system
  • Log all information into the automation system immediately and accurately
  • Ensure confidentiality of customer information at all times

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred
  • 1-3 years' work experience
  • Typing speed of 30+ words per minute
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
