Overview

Securitas Technology is seeking an Alarm Monitoring Operator I to join their 24/7 Alarm Monitoring Center in Aiea, Hawaii. This role involves responding to alarm signals, managing alarm events, and providing exceptional customer service, akin to a 911 emergency dispatcher. The position requires attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Respond to all incoming alarm signals according to documented procedures
  • Log all information into the automation system immediately and accurately
  • Answer a multi-line telephone system
  • Notify authorities and contact lists as appropriate
  • Ensure confidentiality of customer information

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED required, some college preferred
  • 1-3 years' work experience preferred
  • Typing speed of 30+ words per minute
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Good interpersonal communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
