Overview

The Aircrew Rescue Swimmer & Navy Diver position with the U.S. Navy involves performing critical missions both in the air and underwater. Enlisted members will be responsible for helicopter sea rescues and various underwater operations to support a range of naval operations globally.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform helicopter sea rescues and provide advanced first aid
  • Conduct underwater search, salvage, harbor clearance, and security missions
  • Inspect, cut, weld, and repair ships and submarines
  • Conduct deep and saturation diving using SCUBA and other systems
  • Operate and supervise hyperbaric chamber treatments
  • Plan and conduct demolition operations
  • Maintain and repair specialized flight, survival, and diving equipment
