Overview

Eclipse Aerospace is seeking an Aircraft Technician for their Aurora, Illinois location. This role involves performing routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on aircraft, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and maintaining safety and quality standards within the organization.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform basic maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire replacements, and filter inspections.
  • Assist in more complex repairs on airframe, engine, and avionics systems.
  • Conduct visual and operational inspections of aircraft to identify wear, damage, or potential issues.
  • Accurately record all maintenance activities in the aircraft's maintenance logs.
  • Follow all FAA regulations and repair station protocols.
  • Properly use and maintain tools and equipment, reporting any issues.
  • Collaborate with other technicians to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and report any unsafe conditions.

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in aircraft maintenance preferred
  • Basic understanding of aircraft systems and maintenance procedures
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and technical manuals
  • Good communication skills and teamwork
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Basic knowledge of multimeters
  • FAA-approved aviation maintenance technician school completion preferred
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification preferred
