Job Description

Overview

As an Aircraft Structures Technician in the Canadian Armed Forces, you will be responsible for maintaining aircraft structures to ensure they are safe and mission-ready. This role offers the possibility of full-time or part-time work, as well as participation in a paid education program.

Key responsibilities

  • Inspect aircraft structures and related components
  • Restore or repair defects using various materials and techniques
  • Weld base metals and alloys using different welding techniques
  • Manufacture original aircraft equipment or replacement items
  • Fabricate and repair aircraft structures using composite and synthetic components
  • Maintain life support equipment and systems
  • Perform aircraft handling tasks including parking, towing, and refueling
