Overview

The Repair and Overhaul Technician at Airbus Helicopters Canada Ltd is responsible for the assessment, repair, and overhaul of incoming components, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards. This role involves a variety of tasks including disassembly, inspection, and assembly, while maintaining accurate documentation and optimizing processing times.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform initial assessments and paperwork of incoming components
  • Complete visual inspections to identify damage
  • Maintain activity logs and OJT records
  • Adhere to 5S standards within the workspace
  • Disassemble components using various tools according to regulations
  • Conduct cleaning of components using appropriate methods
  • Complete NDT documentation accurately
  • Inspect components for life cycle fulfillment and required repairs
  • Participate in tool maintenance according to shop standards
  • Prepare components for assembly, ensuring all paperwork is completed
  • Assemble components per internal and external regulations
  • Conduct dynamic testing for leaks and pressures

Required skills

  • High school diploma required; college diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Technology preferred
  • 2 years' experience with hand tools in mechanical/machining environments
  • Familiarity with Airbus products and documentation
  • Competence in Aircraft Maintenance Management
  • Experience with various hand tools
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft and Google applications
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals
  • Understanding of aircraft repair applications and basic arithmetic calculations
  • High manual dexterity and precision
