Overview

Airbus Helicopters Canada Ltd is seeking an Avionics AME-E Technician to lead the installation, setup, and testing of avionics systems on aircraft. This role is located in Fort Erie, Ontario, and requires adherence to Airbus and Transport Canada standards for quality assurance and safety in the aviation sector.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead avionics installation, setup, and testing.
  • Manage avionics projects and collaborate with mechanical teams.
  • Create wire lists for harness manufacturing and produce coded wire.
  • Install avionics equipment and wire harnesses according to manuals.
  • Program, code, and configure avionics systems for operation.
  • Conduct ground and flight testing to verify system functionality.
  • Troubleshoot avionics issues found during installation and testing.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
  • Complete daily time booking and maintain work documentation.

Required skills

  • TCCA AME-E License
  • 3 years of experience working on aircraft
  • 2 years of experience with avionics installations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2010 & Google Suite Applications
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and manuals
  • Bilingualism in French-English is an asset
  • Experience with Garmin series avionics equipment is an asset
  • Experience on Airbus products is an asset
