Overview

Airbus Canada Limited Partnership is looking for a Strategic Buyer for parts and materials based in Mirabel, Quebec. This permanent position involves managing procurement activities, supplier relationships, and project governance within a cross-functional team in the aerospace industry.

Key responsibilities

  • Consolidate cross-functional team activities across projects, planning, costs, and risk management.
  • Set up and manage the governance and calendar of the team's activities.
  • Support the deployment of the team's dashboard and manage activity pace.
  • Handle governance implementation for new projects, including meeting structures and project tracking.
  • Participate in the development of purchasing strategies and roadmaps.
  • Manage sourcing activities, tender processes, and contract negotiations.
  • Monitor contracts through various project phases to ensure compliance with terms.
  • Manage daily supplier relationships to optimize customer value and minimize total cost of ownership.
  • Lead cross-functional teams during tendering, negotiation, and contract execution phases.
  • Contribute to the implementation of digital solutions.

Required skills

  • Master's degree in management, project management, purchasing, or related field.
  • Over 8 years of procurement experience, preferably in the aerospace sector.
  • Strong contractual knowledge and international negotiation skills.
  • At least 4 years of experience in supplier relationship management.
  • Fluent in English and working knowledge of French.
  • Solid relational and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage conflicts and communicate effectively in an international context.
  • Analytical work style with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently in dynamic, international teams.
