Overview

Airbus Canada is seeking a Senior Cabin Buyer for the A220 commercial aircraft program, based in Mirabel, Quebec. The role involves leading procurement activities, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost reduction while collaborating with multi-functional teams. The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic team and develop new skills in the aerospace industry.

Key responsibilities

  • Orchestrate the development of new Heads of Version (HOV) for A220 customers.
  • Lead cross-functional strategic projects and manage cost-reduction targets.
  • Act as the primary contact for procurement topics related to HOV.
  • Ensure supply chain maturity and protect financial performance by controlling prices.
  • Drive identification and implementation of new cost reduction opportunities.
  • Manage contractual rigor and conduct strategic analysis of supplier claims.
  • Support the A220 Program teams in operational planning and financial forecasting.

Required skills

  • At least 5 years of experience in procurement and/or commercial roles.
  • Effective negotiation skills with strong business acumen.
  • Solid understanding of key financial indicators.
  • Experience in implementing cost reduction initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong data analytics and management skills, including proficiency in Google Suite.
  • Experience in a multi-functional environment.
  • Ability to manage stakeholder expectations effectively.
  • Negotiation proficiency in English; other languages are a plus.
  • Autonomy and team collaboration skills.
