Overview

The Air Launched Effector Guidance Systems (ALEGS) Section Lead at Raytheon in Tucson, AZ is responsible for overseeing program execution, including cost, schedule, and technical oversight of airborne electrical products. The role involves managing a team of engineers, fostering their career development, and ensuring effective collaboration across various functions.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee communication, performance management, and career development of 15 to 20 engineers.
  • Support hiring efforts, including resume reviews and onboarding.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and address personnel issues.
  • Promote collaboration across functional and program boundaries.
  • Lead or contribute as a technical lead or execution lead.
  • Drive department initiatives and ensure alignment with program goals.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related STEM field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with RF/Digital/Analog Power subsystem development.
  • Leadership experience in technical projects.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and communication skills.
  • Experience in failure investigation and corrective action.
  • Ability to acquire Special Access Programs Clearance.
