Overview

J4 Commercial Services is seeking an experienced Air Compressor Technician to provide field service for rotary screw and reciprocating air compressors. This role involves performing maintenance and troubleshooting, contributing to a family-owned company dedicated to high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and routine service on air compressors
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues
  • Service additional equipment, including automotive lifts and air filtration systems
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding job status and follow-up visits
  • Maintain detailed and accurate service records
  • Manage a dynamic schedule within the assigned territory

Required skills

  • 2+ years of experience in servicing air compressors
  • Familiarity with rotary vane, scroll compressors, medical air, or vacuum systems
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort using tools and test equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with both electrical and mechanical systems
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Willingness to travel
