Overview

Go RH is seeking an Aide-cuisinier for the Motel l'Énergie in Baie-Comeau, Quebec. The role involves supporting daily kitchen operations and ensuring a high-quality dining experience for guests, particularly during peak seasons when the motel serves between 100 to 200 customers daily. The Aide-cuisinier will report to the head chef and participate in food preparation, service support, and maintaining cleanliness and safety in the kitchen.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients including fruits, vegetables, meats, and seafood.
  • Assist in portioning and preparing simple recipes, cold dishes, and desserts.
  • Support the kitchen during service by stocking workstations with necessary ingredients.
  • Participate in plating dishes and provide service support.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of work areas, equipment, and tools.
  • Clean equipment and assist in overall kitchen maintenance.
  • Comply with food safety standards and occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Assist with receiving, checking, and storing supplies.
  • Ensure stock rotation to minimize waste and report inventory discrepancies.
