Overview

Benchmark Buildings & Irrigation is seeking a motivated Center Pivot Irrigation Sales Representative to join their team in Eastern North Carolina. This role focuses on developing new business opportunities and fostering strong customer relationships while providing tailored irrigation solutions to farmers and agricultural producers.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with farmers, landowners, and industry partners
  • Generate new business opportunities within the assigned territory
  • Conduct on-farm visits to assess customer needs and recommend solutions
  • Prepare and present proposals and project estimates
  • Educate customers on irrigation technology and water management practices
  • Coordinate with installation and service teams for project completion
  • Represent the company at agricultural trade shows and industry events
  • Maintain accurate customer records and sales forecasts
  • Stay informed on industry trends and advancements
  • Achieve established sales goals

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or related field or extensive agricultural experience
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Sales-oriented with ability to build long-term relationships
  • Understanding of basic mathematics related to irrigation design
  • Self-motivated and organized
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and business software
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively
  • Experience in agricultural sales or related fields preferred
  • Knowledge of center pivot irrigation systems and water management practices
