Office locations include: Monterey (CA), Roseville (CA), Bakersfield (CA), Phoenix (AZ), and Spokane (WA).Job Overview As an Agri Business Underwriter, you will be responsible to review applications for agri business insurance, assessing overall risk attributes, appropriate pricing, and determining correct fit within Company guidelines and policies. This position is responsible for building strong agency relationships to develop new business opportunities; retain a strong renewal book of business and manage the overall book to profitability metrics. The Underwriter must adhere to underwriting guidelines for service and authority.Minimum Requirements Education and Experience:College degree (or equivalent experience) and 2 plus years of agri business underwriting experience writing small to medium sized commercial risks.This individual must have demonstrated ability to apply sound underwriting principles and manage an underwriting workload with limited supervision.Completion of technical insurance coursework preferred, such as AFIS, CPCU, AU, ARM, CRM or CIC.Knowledge of:Agri Business Insurance Underwriting principles, procedures, rules and regulationsRating plans (ISO or similar) and commercial lines coveragesKnowledge of social, economic and competitive aspects of territory assignedNational and local business conditions and trendsUnderwriting and marketing philosophy and procedureCorrect English usage, including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and vo
