Overview

SHD Composite Materials Inc is seeking an Aerospace Business Development Manager to lead growth in their aerospace sector. This role requires a strong blend of industry knowledge and business acumen to identify opportunities, develop strategic relationships, and drive revenue across various aerospace markets.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities within commercial aerospace, defense, and emerging aviation sectors
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet revenue targets
  • Manage the full sales lifecycle from lead generation to contract negotiation
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through networking and industry engagement
  • Engage with key decision-makers within aerospace OEMs and suppliers
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Monitor industry trends and customer needs to identify new applications
  • Represent SHD Composites at industry events and trade shows
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align customer requirements with product capabilities
  • Analyze market trends and develop long-term account strategies

Required skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development or sales in the aerospace industry
  • Proven track record of generating new business and achieving revenue targets
  • Strong understanding of aerospace supply chains and OEMs
  • Knowledge of advanced composite materials and their applications
  • Experience in managing complex technical sales processes
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to travel extensively for customer engagements
  • Preferred Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
