Job Description

Overview

ElectriCom Inc is seeking an experienced Aerial Lineman for its operations in Marshall, Texas, who will play a critical role in the installation and maintenance of aerial telecommunications. The ideal candidate will prioritize safety and teamwork in their approach to utility construction tasks.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely operate a boom truck and climb poles as needed
  • Lead and motivate a crew to meet safety and production goals
  • Communicate professionally with co-workers, homeowners, and customers
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair overhead fiber lines
  • Read and interpret engineering plans and specifications
  • Install poles and place wires and cables
  • Keep detailed records of work activity
  • Access various installation points using ladders and aerial devices
  • Lift and pull heavy equipment as required
  • Perform routine training as assigned

Required skills

  • 1+ years' experience in the utility/construction industry
  • Experience in utility inspection preferred
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Valid CDL strongly desired
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical
  • Knowledge of safety management and OSHA compliance
