Overview

ElectriCom Inc is seeking an Aerial Lineman for its utility construction operations in Carlsbad, New Mexico. The ideal candidate will have experience in aerial telecommunications work and a commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality performance. This position comes with opportunities for career advancement and skill development.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely operate a boom truck and climb poles as needed
  • Lead and motivate crew to meet safety requirements and project goals
  • Communicate professionally with co-workers, homeowners, and customers
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair overhead fiber lines
  • Read and interpret engineering plans and specifications
  • Install poles and place wires and cables
  • Keep detailed records of work activity
  • Work in various environments including aerial devices and crawl spaces

Required skills

  • 1+ years' experience in the utility/construction industry
  • Driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Valid CDL (strongly desired)
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical
  • Knowledge of safety compliance and OSHA regulations
  • Ability to lift and/or pull up to 100 pounds
