Job Description

Overview

ElectriCom Inc is seeking an experienced Aerial Lineman to join their team in Carlsbad, NM. This role involves performing aerial and ground telecommunications work, operating aerial trucks, and handling telecom line components, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely operate boom trucks and climb poles
  • Lead and motivate crew to meet safety and production goals
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair overhead fiber lines
  • Read and interpret engineering plans and specifications
  • Install poles and place wires and cables
  • Keep detailed record of work activity
  • Utilize bucket trucks and other equipment to access installation points
  • Work in various weather conditions and physical environments

Required skills

  • 1+ years' experience in the utility/construction industry
  • Clean driving record; valid driver's license required
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to lift and/or pull 100 pounds
  • Experience with safety management and adherence to regulations
  • Valid CDL is strongly desired
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical
