Overview

ElectriCom Inc. is seeking an experienced Aerial Lineman for their telecommunications division in Glasgow, Kentucky. This role involves performing aerial and ground telecommunications work at construction and service sites, along with operating aerial trucks and managing telecom line components. The company emphasizes a family-focused culture and values safety, teamwork, and quality in its operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely operate a boom truck and climb poles as needed
  • Lead and motivate crew to meet safety and production goals
  • Communicate professionally with co-workers, homeowners, and customers
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair overhead fiber lines
  • Read and interpret engineering plans and specifications
  • Install poles and place wires and cables
  • Keep detailed record of work activity
  • Utilize various equipment and access methods for installation and construction

Required skills

  • 1+ years' experience in the utility/construction industry
  • Driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Valid CDL is strongly desired
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical
  • Knowledge of safety management and OSHA regulations
  • Experience with aerial work and heavy equipment operation
  • Ability to lift and/or pull 100 pounds
  • Effective communication and team leadership skills
