Job Description

Overview

Cargill is seeking an AEI Technician to join their protein and salt business in Brainard, Nebraska. This role involves assisting in the design and installation of electrical projects, coordinating with other workers, and ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of industrial equipment.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in design and installation of electrical projects and equipment
  • Coordinate with team members for equipment installation and maintenance
  • Consult with operators and engineers to plan equipment layouts and resolve issues
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks and inspect industrial equipment
  • Test and troubleshoot faulty equipment
  • Maintain accurate equipment logs and documentation
  • Adhere to safety regulations and use proper PPE
  • Participate in ongoing training and skill level improvement

Required skills

  • Experience with blueprints, schematics, and manuals
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and retrieval
  • Ability to perform electrical maintenance trade
  • Understanding of the National Electric Code
  • Experience with installation and operation of electrical systems
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work in confined spaces
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to operate machinery and mobile equipment
