Job Description

Overview

The AEI Technician position at Cargill involves supporting the installation and maintenance of electrical equipment in the protein and salt business sector. This role is critical in ensuring the safe and effective operation of machinery, while contributing to the overall sustainability and quality of food products provided by Cargill.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and installation of electrical projects and equipment.
  • Coordinate with team members for the maintenance of equipment.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks and inspect industrial equipment.
  • Diagnose malfunctions and repair electrical systems and components.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Participate in ongoing training and adapt to changing priorities.

Required skills

  • Experience with blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
  • Ability to perform electrical maintenance trade work.
  • Basic computer skills and data entry.
  • Strong commitment to safety and ability to work in various conditions.
  • Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of the National Electric Code.
  • Experience using electrical test equipment and tools.
