Job Description

Overview

The AEI Technician role at Cargill involves assisting in the design and installation of electrical projects in a plant environment focused on producing high-quality food products. The position requires coordination with various operators and engineers and includes responsibilities for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring equipment functionality.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and installation of electrical projects
  • Coordinate efforts with team members on equipment maintenance
  • Consult with operators and engineers for equipment layout and problem resolution
  • Perform preventive maintenance and inspect industrial equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and repair as necessary
  • Maintain logs of equipment performance and repairs
  • Adhere to safety regulations and Cargill standards
  • Install and test electrical equipment and systems
  • Participate in ongoing training to improve skill levels

Required skills

  • Experience in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Basic computer skills for data entry
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and mathematical skills
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in confined spaces
  • Experience with electrical test equipment
  • Familiarity with the National Electric Code
  • Ability to work overtime and in extreme conditions
