Overview

Cargill is seeking an AEI Technician to join their team in Brainard, Nebraska, within the protein and salt business sector. The role involves a variety of responsibilities related to the installation, maintenance, and operation of electrical equipment, ensuring that the facility runs efficiently and safely.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and installation of electrical projects
  • Coordinate efforts with other workers for equipment installation and maintenance
  • Consult with operators and engineers for equipment layout and issue resolution
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to detect and prevent problems
  • Inspect components of industrial equipment for defects and assembly accuracy
  • Repair, install, and adjust electrical equipment and components as needed
  • Maintain equipment logs and troubleshoot malfunctions
  • Adhere to safety rules and regulations, including using proper PPE
  • Participate in ongoing skill improvement training
  • Work flexible hours and adapt to changing priorities in a plant environment

Required skills

  • Experience with blueprints, schematics, and manuals
  • Basic computer skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate machinery
  • Experience with electrical maintenance trade
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and extreme temperatures
  • Strong commitment to safety
  • Experience with electrical test equipment
