Job Description

Overview

Cargill is looking for an AEI Technician to join their protein and salt business in Brainard, Nebraska. This full-time role involves assisting in the design and installation of electrical projects, as well as performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of industrial equipment. Candidates will be part of a global company striving for safe and sustainable food production.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in the design of electrical projects and install electrical equipment
  • Coordinate efforts with other workers on equipment installation and maintenance
  • Consult with operators and engineers to plan equipment layout and resolve system issues
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks to detect and prevent issues
  • Test faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions using test equipment and software
  • Maintain equipment logs recording performance problems, repairs, and calibrations
  • Work indoors and outdoors in a plant environment and adhere to safety regulations
  • Participate in ongoing skill improvement training and complete tasks professionally

Required skills

  • Experience with electrical installation and troubleshooting
  • Electrical maintenance trade experience
  • Ability to work with blueprints, schematics, and manuals
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and retrieval
  • Ability to perform physical job duties, including lifting at least 50 pounds
  • Knowledge of the National Electric Code
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong commitment to safety
  • Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers preferred
