Job Description

Overview

The AEI Technician role at Cargill involves contributing to the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems in a protein and salt business setting. This position requires working with various industrial equipment and systems, ensuring their proper function and adherence to safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in design and installation of electrical equipment
  • Coordinate with team members for equipment maintenance
  • Consult with operators and engineers for equipment layout and problem resolution
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on industrial equipment
  • Inspect and troubleshoot equipment for malfunctions
  • Repair, install, and adjust electrical components
  • Maintain equipment logs and document performance issues
  • Participate in ongoing skill improvement training
  • Adapt to changing priorities and work in various conditions

Required skills

  • Electrical maintenance and installation
  • Experience with blueprints, schematics, and manuals
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and retrieval
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of National Electric Code
  • Experience with Allen Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers (preferred)
  • Valid license in electrical trade (preferred)
