Job Description

Overview

Cargill is seeking an AEI Technician to join their protein and salt business in Morse Bluff, Nebraska. The role involves assisting in the design and installation of electrical equipment, ensuring that it functions properly, and performing preventive maintenance tasks to support a safe and efficient work environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in the design of electrical projects and install electrical equipment
  • Coordinate installation and maintenance efforts with other workers
  • Consult with operators and engineers to plan equipment layout and troubleshoot issues
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks
  • Inspect industrial equipment for defects and ensure proper assembly
  • Repair and adjust equipment, replacing worn parts as necessary
  • Operate and test industrial equipment to diagnose malfunctions
  • Maintain equipment logs and inventory of spare parts
  • Follow safety protocols and adhere to state regulations
  • Participate in ongoing skill level improvement training

Required skills

  • Electrical maintenance trade experience
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and retrieval
  • Mechanical aptitude with experience in troubleshooting
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Proficiency with electrical test equipment
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and extreme conditions
  • Commitment to safety and use of proper PPE
  • Experience with Allen Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers (preferred)
  • High School diploma or equivalent
