Overview

AttainX Inc. is seeking an Advisory Land Use, Tour & Nuclear Safety Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the Department of Energy at the Hanford Field Office in Richland, WA. The role involves providing expert-level advisory support on land use planning, nuclear safety, and strategic management to enhance the efficiency of the Hanford cleanup mission.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive support to HFO staff on land use planning and beneficial reuse initiatives.
  • Conduct detailed evaluations of proposed land use actions for regulatory compliance.
  • Advise on stakeholder engagement and coordinate with federal, state, local, and tribal governments.
  • Deliver technical nuclear safety support to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Review and evaluate nuclear safety documentation and support operational readiness reviews.
  • Conduct site tours to enhance understanding of Hanford's operations and history.
  • Assist in developing tour materials and providing technical information for outreach.

Required skills

  • BS/BA degree in engineering or related field
  • Extensive experience in DOE projects and operations
  • History of executive-level management in DOE
  • Knowledge of the Hanford Comprehensive Land Use Plan
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and public communication
  • Broad experience in nuclear safety
  • Leadership in land management and beneficial reuse initiatives
