Overview

Attainx Inc. is seeking an Advisory Land Use, Tour & Nuclear Safety Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide expert-level advisory support to the Department of Energy (DOE) Hanford Field Office. The role involves delivering strategic analysis and guidance to optimize cleanup efforts and ensure compliance with nuclear safety standards at the Hanford Site in Richland, WA.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide strategic analysis and coordination services related to land use planning and beneficial reuse initiatives.
  • Conduct detailed reviews of proposed land use actions for regulatory compliance.
  • Advise on reuse opportunities and resolve land use issues with various stakeholders.
  • Prepare technical reports and executive-level briefings related to land use and reuse alternatives.
  • Provide technical nuclear safety support and ensure compliance with applicable requirements.
  • Review nuclear safety documentation and support readiness review activities.
  • Conduct in-depth site tours for HFO staff to enhance understanding of operations and history.
  • Assist in developing tour agendas and materials for effective communication during tours.

Required skills

  • BS/BA degree in engineering or relevant technical field
  • Extensive senior-level experience in DOE projects and operations
  • History of executive level management positions related to DOE and Environmental Management
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Hanford Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP)
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement with tribal and regulatory bodies
  • Broad experience in nuclear safety and land management
  • Leadership experience in large-scale deactivation, site closure, and remediation
