Overview

BRP is seeking a Strategic Advisor, IT Contract Management to play an essential role in maximizing the value of IT contracts, optimizing contractual relationships and related operations, and minimizing corporate risk within a large organization.We are looking for a motivated individual who thrives in a dynamic, challenging environment and excels at solving complex problems with innovative solutions. In this role, the IT Contract Management Advisor will be at the heart of sound contract governance alongside our business partners (Legal and Procurement) and will contribute to turning our vendor relationships into a strategic advantage for BRP. YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO: Anticipate and identify strategic and tactical issues, requirement gaps, and negotiation or operational challenges in current and upcoming contractual agreements. Understand and manage the collection of specific contractual needs for the IS&T group.Participate in contract management. Review, understand, and master contracts related to IT services and products (software and hardware). Ensure compliance with corporate policies and standards. Provide support during contract negotiation and drafting, as well as follow-up and support during contract amendments.Support and advise managers in their vendor relationships. Establish and maintain strong relationships with managers and suppliers as required. Ensure compliance with contractual terms.Collaborate with managers to assess contract performance and associated spend. Recommend strategies to maximize value.Ensure proper governance for each contract. Support IT managers and coordinate meetings with suppliers and stakeholders.Maintain the contract inventory and track key clauses to keep contracts up to date (additions/deletions, terms, etc.). Hold accountability for contract documentation.Identify and evaluate risks associated with contracts. Propose mitigation solutions and advise managers on best practices.Manage contract expiration schedules. Track deadlines and ensure key dates are met. Plan and coordinate renewals or contractual modifications. Produce a renewal schedule matrix spanning a 3-to-5-year horizon. Develop and suggest strategies for renewals, replacements, or contract terminations.Track and participate in the financial analysis of contracts. Work to optimize costs and identify savings opportunities while maintaining service quality.Assist in resolving contractual disputes, if necessary, in collaboration with Legal and Operational teams.Monitor regulatory developments related to contracts and propose adjustments accordingly to ensure compliance.Maintain active intelligence on IT contract management best practices. Support and train internal teams on relevant contractual topics as needed, advising stakeholders on contract management best practices.Research and propose innovative approaches to contract drafting and vendor relationship management to improve operational efficiency. YOU WILL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in contract coordination or management.Substantial experience managing IT delivery and outsourcing contracts, including negotiating, reviewing, and executing complex agreements.In-depth understanding of information technology and IT operations.Solid grasp of legal aspects related to contracts, with the ability to draft and negotiate contractual terms.Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors.Ability to set strategic direction to align IT contracts with overall IT strategic plan goals.Strong problem-solving skills to quickly resolve contractual issues and anticipate risks.Proven ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively.Exemplary sense of professional ethics and commitment to compliance with standards and regul
