Mercy is seeking an Advanced Radiology Intern to join their team in Pittsburg, Kansas. Under the supervision of experienced professionals, this role involves performing diagnostic radiology procedures while ensuring high standards of patient care and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiology procedures under supervision
  • Ensure optimal image quality
  • Provide personalized care to patients of all age groups
  • Adhere to patient care quality standards
  • Manipulate radiology equipment and select exposure factors
  • Lift, move, and transport patients as needed
  • Communicate effectively and recognize emergency situations

Required skills

  • Currently enrolled in a nationally accredited School of Radiologic Technology
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Current BLS certification
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
