Job Description

Overview

The Advanced Quality Manager at Clarios will lead all quality-related activities associated with new product launches for OEMs, ensuring all systems and processes meet customer requirements prior to full production. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on engagement to drive quality excellence during the launch and into ongoing production while maintaining effective communication with various stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the overall quality strategy for product launches
  • Ensure timely completion of all launch-related quality deliverables including APQP, PPAP, control plans, PFMEA, and process validation
  • Establish and manage a comprehensive quality roadmap aligned with launch milestones
  • Serve as the primary quality representative to OEM for launch and production matters
  • Communicate with customers about quality performance and issue resolution
  • Support customer audits and plant visits
  • Drive a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Maintain a strong presence on the manufacturing floor during launch and production
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance to address real-time quality issues
  • Oversee process capability, inspection standards, and quality control systems during ramp-up

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in automotive or high-volume manufacturing environments
  • Experience leading quality for product or plant launches
  • Familiarity with OEM customer requirements
  • Experience with SMT and electronics manufacturing preferred
