Overview

Advance Turning & Manufacturing, Inc. is looking for experienced CNC Machinists for 2nd and 3rd shifts in Jackson, Michigan. The ideal candidates will have a strong work ethic and experience with lathe and mill operations to help produce machine components for various industries, including Medical and Aerospace.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan machining by reviewing work orders, blueprints, and engineering plans.
  • Program mills and lathes by entering instructions and calculating parameters.
  • Set up mills and lathes, including tool adjustments and positioning.
  • Perform precision machining, including drilling, grooving, turning, and thread chasing.
  • Ensure quality standards by measuring positions and sample workpieces.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to company safety procedures.
  • Update job knowledge through educational opportunities and technical publications.
  • Document actions in production and quality logs.
