Overview

Aerodyne Industries is seeking an EA Technical Integration Engineer to support multiple human spaceflight programs, ensuring that complex technical systems integrate safely across various mission phases. The role involves collaborating with engineering teams and safety organizations to uphold NASA's standards, making it an exciting opportunity for those passionate about space exploration.

Key responsibilities

  • Function as a team member of the Amentum Flight Safety Team and report to the JSC Engineering Directorate ISS Chief Engineer.
  • Serve as a technical integrator across ISS, Orion, Gateway, and Commercial Crew programs.
  • Coordinate cross-discipline engineering inputs in spacecraft systems, environmental control, power, avionics, software, and human factors.
  • Identify cross-program impacts and ensure integrated solutions maintaining crew safety and mission readiness.
  • Support technical interchange meetings, integration forums, and program working groups.
  • Review and verify safety analyses for multiple flight programs.
  • Ensure compliance with human-rating standards and program-specific safety requirements.
  • Evaluate design changes, operational updates, and new technologies for safety implications.
  • Produce clear, concise technical products like integration summaries and risk assessments.
  • Bridge communication across government engineers, contractors, operations personnel, and safety organizations.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Master's or higher degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of related experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of flight hardware/systems experience.
  • Ability to identify and assess hazardous conditions and appropriate controls.
  • Working knowledge of systems safety disciplines.
  • Good knowledge of aerospace materials and acceptability.
  • Familiarity with NASA standards and payload requirements.
  • Experience with Spaceflight Safety certification.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Systems Engineering experience preferred.
  • Experience in system/payload integration and system safety at Johnson Space Center desired.
  • Degree in ME, EE, Aerospace Engineering, or Aerospace Safety preferred.
