Overview

Visiting Nurse Services Westchester is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to take on the role of Administrator for their Licensed Home Care Services Agency (LCHSA). This position is a 6-month contract with the potential to transition into a permanent role, focusing on providing strategic and operational leadership to ensure high-quality home care services across New York State.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations ensuring compliance with New York State Department of Health regulations
  • Provide operational oversight for efficient and safe service delivery
  • Develop and implement policies to maintain regulatory compliance and operational excellence
  • Ensure readiness for audits and regulatory reviews
  • Supervise and support a multidisciplinary team, providing mentorship and performance management
  • Maintain knowledge of New York State home care regulations and ensure compliance
  • Manage the New York State Home Care Registry and ensure proper utilization
  • Monitor quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives

Required skills

  • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience in home care or an LCHSA
  • Strong knowledge of New York State home care regulations
  • Experience using the New York State Home Care Registry
  • Operational management experience in a healthcare setting
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
