Overview

Visiting Nurse Services Westchester is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to take on the role of Administrator for their Licensed Home Care Services Agency (LCHSA) in White Plains, New York. This six-month contract position offers strong potential for permanent placement based on performance, focusing on delivering high-quality and compliant home care services throughout New York State.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the LCHSA, ensuring compliance with NYSDOH regulations
  • Provide hands-on operational oversight to ensure efficient and safe service delivery
  • Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures for regulatory compliance
  • Ensure readiness for audits, surveys, and regulatory reviews
  • Supervise and support a multidisciplinary team including nurses and home health aides
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance management
  • Maintain knowledge of NY State home care regulations and ensure compliance
  • Manage and ensure proper utilization of the New York State Home Care Registry
  • Monitor quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
  • Address patient complaints and incidents as necessary

Required skills

  • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience in home care or a Licensed Home Care Services Agency
  • Strong knowledge of New York State home care regulations
  • Experience using the New York State Home Care Registry
  • Operational management experience in a healthcare setting
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
