Overview

Visiting Nurse Services Westchester is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to assume the role of Administrator for their Licensed Home Care Services Agency (LCHSA). This 6-month contractual position offers strong potential for permanent placement based on performance, and involves providing strategic and operational leadership to ensure high-quality, compliant, and patient-centered home care services across New York State.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the LCHSA, ensuring compliance with New York State Department of Health regulations
  • Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures for regulatory compliance and operational excellence
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a multidisciplinary team
  • Ensure compliance with NYSDOH standards and proper documentation
  • Manage and ensure proper utilization of the New York State Home Care Registry
  • Monitor quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives

Required skills

  • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience in home care or an LCHSA
  • Knowledge of New York State home care regulations
  • Experience using the New York State Home Care Registry
  • Operational management experience in a healthcare setting
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
