Overview

The Administrative Assistant at Delaware Park Casino & Racing plays a crucial role in supporting the maintenance and facilities department. This position involves efficiently managing office procedures, providing administrative support, and ensuring accurate record-keeping.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the efficient operation of office procedures within the maintenance/facilities department.
  • Prepare reports including information for annual CAFO and DNREC reports.
  • Track and document all purchases ensuring budgetary compliance.
  • Coordinate communication and correspondence within the department.
  • Maintain accurate files and record-keeping as per retention policies.
  • Process weekly timekeeping and schedule verification for team members.
  • Coordinate and monitor inventory management.
  • Initiate documentation for status changes and information updates.
  • Record minutes for all meetings as requested.
  • Input requisitions for purchasing and accounting.

Required skills

  • 1 to 3 years of administrative experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Strong organizational skills
