Overview

The Admin Resident Navigator at St. Anne's Nursing Center & Residence plays a crucial role in supporting the Centralized Admitting Department by ensuring efficient patient admissions and maintaining accurate clinical documentation. This position also involves coordinating with various stakeholders to facilitate bed management and patient transitions within the facility.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist with obtaining required clinical documentation for patient admissions
  • Manage daily and monthly census reporting and maintain admission logs
  • Facilitate patient admissions by conducting tours and preparing pre-admission packets
  • Ensure accurate data entry into the clinical database for admissions, transfers, and discharges
  • Communicate effectively with central admissions regarding patient status
  • Assist the Business Office with financial responsibilities related to new admissions
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines

Required skills

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of experience in a health care facility
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Basic understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance guidelines
  • Bilingual communication skills preferred
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
