Overview

The ADA Associate/Specialist role at Larkin Benefit Administrators involves delivering exceptional leave and ADA services to clients and their employees. It requires a foundational understanding of administering leaves of absence and workplace accommodations, with a focus on effective communication and adherence to federal and state regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Administer a full workload of ADA cases and associated leaves of absence for multiple clients.
  • Remain the primary point of contact for employees regarding ADA cases.
  • Confirm leave eligibility, review medical documentation, and communicate with healthcare providers and HR team members.
  • Engage in the interactive discussion process for accommodation requests.
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering phones and responding to emails.
  • Draft and send letters related to leave entitlement and benefits.
  • Maintain high-quality employee leave and ADA files.
  • Coordinate with Claim Specialists for timely and accurate claim adjudication.
  • Participate in client meetings and training programs which may require some travel.
  • Be a self-starter, taking initiative and collaborating effectively in a remote-first environment.

Required skills

  • Four-year college degree in a similar/related field.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Word and proficient typing skills.
  • Excellent organizational, quantitative, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret regulatory documents and client policies.
  • Attention to detail and strong time management skills.
  • Willingness to learn and receive feedback for continuous improvement.
