Overview

Become an Actor in the Tribal Dance and Cultural Legends Performance at Icy Strait Point. This role enables you to share the rich history and vibrant culture of the Huna Tlingit people through storytelling, song, and dance, all while engaging with audiences in a meaningful way.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform storytelling, traditional song, and expressive dance to share Huna Tlingit culture
  • Dress in traditional regalia to enhance the authenticity of performances
  • Engage with audiences and create meaningful connections during and after shows
  • Help preserve and showcase the heritage of Southeast Alaska's Indigenous communities
  • Participate in photo opportunities with guests after performances

Required skills

  • Experience in performance, acting, or storytelling
  • Ability to engage an audience effectively
  • Passion for Native culture and heritage
  • Ability to perform dynamic roles that include singing and dancing
