Job Description

Overview

The Town of Palm Beach is searching for an Activity Leader to contribute to its esteemed recreational program, primarily focused on K-5 grade students. This role offers the opportunity to create a safe, fun, and engaging environment while leading various recreational activities and events under the direction of the Recreation Specialist/Program Manager.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise indoor and outdoor activities for children of all ages
  • Plan, organize, and execute games, seasonal sports, and recreation programs
  • Support the coordination and delivery of special events, including setup and cleanup
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized environment at all facilities
  • Supervise youth participants during camps and afterschool programs
  • Assist with program registration and provide information to the public
  • Set up equipment for events, classes, and daily activities

Required skills

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prior experience working with children or in a recreational leadership role
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Experience in coaching or officiating youth sports is desirable
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and the public
