Overview

Join Snowshoe Mountain as an Activities Prep Cook, where you'll play a pivotal role in supporting kitchen staff during meal and ingredient preparation. This seasonal position offers a unique opportunity to work in a stunning mountain environment, interact with guests from around the world, and enjoy various employee perks.

Key responsibilities

  • Complete tasks on the supervisor's prep list
  • Label and stock ingredients on accessible shelves
  • Wash, chop, and sort fruits, vegetables, meats, and dry supplies
  • Measure and prepare ingredients for recipes
  • Parboil food, reduce sauces, proof dough, and start various dishes
  • Prepare and deliver guest orders, including 'to go' items
  • Use kitchen equipment safely, following nutrition and sanitation standards
  • Communicate professionally with associates and clients
  • Respond to supervisor requests for various tasks, including dishwashing
  • Report spoilage or shortages immediately
  • Maintain walk-in coolers and refrigerate perishable foods properly
  • Clean workstation and follow up with supervisor for closing instructions
